巨磁致伸縮材料是20世紀70年代發展起來的新型功能材料,具有應變大,能量轉換效率高等優點,在功能轉換、智能驅動、智能傳感等高技術領域有重要應用。簡要介紹了磁致伸縮及巨磁致伸縮材料的發展歷史,從稀土巨磁致伸縮材料、非稀土巨磁致伸縮材料的合金化研究、制備技術和應用技術等方面綜述了我國巨磁致伸縮材料的發展歷程,介紹了我國的科研工作者在巨磁致伸縮材料研究領域所取得的重要研究成果,最后對巨磁致伸縮材料發展及應用進行了展望。

Giant magnetostrictive materials are new functional materials developed since 1970’s, characterized by giant magnetostrain and powerful energy conversion. In this paper, an introduction of magnetostriction and the history of giant magnetostrictive materials, and a number of important research results obtained by our scientists in the field are described firstly. Then we review the recent developments of both rare earth and non rare earth magnetostrictive materials. Finally, the tendency of developing the giant magnetostrictive materials is presented.
