本文介紹了一類含銪配合物的新型熒光液晶聚合物材料。通過把手性液晶單體M1(烯丙氧基苯甲酸膽甾醇酯,液晶區間達132.1℃)和具有熒光性能的金屬稀土E3+配合物(C3)把接枝到含氫硅氧烷上,制備得到含有稀土三價銪配合物的側鏈液晶聚合物。研究了銪配體的共軛作用與熒光性能的關系。在紫外光激發下,該聚合物在室溫下就顯示較強的熒光,主波長為617nm,銪含量在8%以下時,隨銪含量增加,熒光強度增強,當達到10%時熒光性能降低。單體C3的熒光配合物的熒光強度僅為其熒光液晶聚合物在主波長熒光強度的30%,揭示了熒光液晶聚合物的優勢。與原不含銪的聚合物相比,液晶織構類型不變,但熔點略有升高,而清亮點呈下降趨勢。這類材料除具有配合物熒光性外,其液晶性的存在使加工性提高。該類新材料為理論研究,應用研究提供了技術基礎,也將展示廣闊應用前景。

In this paper, a new series of luminescence liquid crystalline polymers with rare earth Eu(Ⅲ) complexes were reported for the first time. Such complexes were prepared by grafting copolymerization of the chiral liquid crystalline monomer (M1), 4-allyloxylbenzoic acid cholesteryl and complexes (C3) of Eu(Ⅲ) onto hydrosiloxane. The relationship between the conjugation effect of Eu3+ and luminescence properties was investigated here. Under stimulation by UV light, high luminescence intensity of such complexes was observed at ambient temperature with λmax at 617nm. When the content of Eu(Ⅲ) is under 8%, luminescence intensity increases with the increasing of Eu(Ⅲ) content. Such trend reverses once the content is above 10%.Advantage of such complex was demonstrated by the difference of the luminescence intensity of the complex of polymer and the complex of polymermonomer C3, which is only 30% of the former. Compared with polymer without Eu(Ⅲ), the LC texture remained the same, with higher Tm and lower TC. Besides superior luminescence properties, such Eu(Ⅲ) complex also had excellent processibility due to innate liquid crystal nature. The theoretical study of Eu(Ⅲ) liquid crystal complex can provide foundations to potentially wide industrial application.
