針對心血管支架內再狹窄問題(ISR),作者團隊利用Cu元素對心血管系統的有益生物功能,創新地發展出具有生物功能的新型含銅血管支架材料(含銅不銹鋼及鈷基合金)。綜述了近年來團隊在新型含銅金屬血管支架材料方面的研究進展。研究結果表明,含銅金屬血管支架材料能促進內皮細胞增殖及遷移,并降低其凋亡率;對動脈平滑肌增殖及遷移具有抑制作用,并促進其凋亡;減少血小板在支架表面的粘附,延長動態凝血時間,降低血栓形成傾向。此外,新型含銅金屬血管支架材料還具有有優異的生物相容性。動物實驗結果表明,含銅不銹鋼心血管支架在動物體內可明顯促進內皮化、抑制血栓形成,且生物相容性好,可以抑制ISR的發生,有望得到臨床應用。

In view of the in-stent restenosis (ISR) problem in clinic, the team led by Prof. Ke Yang in the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences has developed a new class of Cu-bearing metal materials for stent application (316L-Cu stainless steel and L605-Cu cobalt based alloy). This paper reviews the recent advances of the research team regarding this new class of Cu-bearing metal stent materials. The experimental results showed that these Cu-bearing metal stent materials can effectively promote the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells and decrease the apoptosis rate, whereas on the contrary inhibite the proliferation and migration of arterial smooth muscle and promote its apoptosis. More than this, they also can reduce the adhesion of platelets on the metal surface, prolong the dynamic coagulation time, and thus reduced the tendency of thrombosis. In addition, the new stent materials also have excellent biocompatibility. The in vivo studies show that the Cu-bearing stainless steel stent implantation in animals have excellent biocompatibility and can obviously promote endothelialization, inhibit thrombosis, and ultimately inhibit the occurrence of ISR. Consequently, these new Cu-bearing metal materials are expected to be a new generation coronary stent materials with the function of reducing occurrence of ISR.
