SiCf/SiC陶瓷基復(fù)合材料滿(mǎn)足新一代航空發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)高推重比的發(fā)展要求,但在發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)內(nèi)部高溫惡劣環(huán)境下,需用環(huán)境障涂層對(duì)該復(fù)合材料進(jìn)行防護(hù)。目前環(huán)境障涂層在服役過(guò)程中不可避免地會(huì)產(chǎn)生裂紋,因此,需要開(kāi)發(fā)一種具有自愈合能力的環(huán)境障涂層,在裂紋出現(xiàn)時(shí)及時(shí)修復(fù)。以Yb2Si2O7材料為基礎(chǔ),分別采用放電等離子燒結(jié)和無(wú)壓燒結(jié)制備了Yb2Si2O7-SiC和Yb2Si2O7-Yb2SiO5復(fù)合陶瓷,開(kāi)展了Yb2Si2O7基復(fù)合材料的自愈合行為研究,并探究了該復(fù)合材料作為自愈合環(huán)境障涂層材料的可行性。結(jié)果表明,向Yb2Si2O7陶瓷中添加SiC第二相時(shí),含5%和10%(質(zhì)量分?jǐn)?shù),下同)SiC的Yb2Si2O7-SiC復(fù)合材料在空氣中1100 ℃熱處理1 h后,由于表面的SiC氧化形成SiO2,SiO2的填充作用以及反應(yīng)引起的體積膨脹促進(jìn)了裂紋愈合;而在1300 ℃下熱處理,SiC大量氧化產(chǎn)生較大體積膨脹,含5%和10% SiC的Yb2Si2O7-SiC復(fù)合材料內(nèi)部反而出現(xiàn)新的裂紋。而向Yb2Si2O7陶瓷中添加Yb2SiO5第二相可以促進(jìn)材料致密化和裂紋愈合,當(dāng)Yb2SiO5添加量為50%時(shí),復(fù)合材料的裂紋愈合效率最高,約為78%,主要可歸因于具有較高熱膨脹系數(shù)的Yb2SiO5受熱膨脹,對(duì)Yb2Si2O7產(chǎn)生壓應(yīng)力,促進(jìn)了裂紋愈合。

SiCf/SiC ceramic matrix composites meet the high thrust-to-weight ratio requirements of next-generation aeroengines but require environmental barrier coatings for protection under extreme high-temperature conditions. Current environmental barrier coatings inevitably develop cracks during service,necessitating self-healing coatings for autonomous crack repair. In this study, based on Yb2Si2O7,Yb2Si2O7-SiC and Yb2Si2O7-Yb2SiO5 were fabricated via spark plasma sintering and pressureless sintering, respectively. The self-healing behavior of these composites was investigated to evaluate their feasibility as environmental barrier coating materials.Results show that adding 5wt%~10wt% SiC to Yb2Si2O7 promoted crack healing after 1 h at 1100 ℃ in air, driven by SiO2 formation from SiC oxidation, which filled cracks through volume expansion. However, at 1300 ℃, excessive SiC oxidation caused significant volumetric stress, generating new cracks within the composites. Yb2SiO5 addition enhanced material densification and crack healing. The composite with 50wt% Yb2SiO5 achieved optimal healing efficiency (78%), attributed to thermally induced compressive stress from higher thermal expansion coefficient of Yb2SiO5. This stress facilitated crack closure in the Yb2Si2O7 matrix.
